Tofu Butter Chicken
Its no surprise that our Fusion Butter Chicken is our most popular product in our Fusion line up. Its saucy, flavorful and can win over even the pickiest of eaters. In fact, most of the compliments we receive are from moms and dads that are excited that they found a dish that their picky kids love. While our Butter Chicken with chicken is delicious, we always tell our customers that this sauce can be used in many ways and can be adjusted to fit different dietary constraints. Tofu is a great alternative to chicken and can be easy to work with. From our own test kitchen, below is the best way to use tofu as your chicken subsite.
Ingredients Notes:
Use Firm Tofu preferably, however if you can only find medium firm simply wrap the tofu in a strong paper towel and put a heavy object on top of it for 20 min. The goal is to take out all the excess water
Method 1:
Toss the tofu with salt, a dash of the sauce mix and some corn starch and bake for 10 minutes at 350 or until golden brown. This will give to tofu a crispier texture
Method 2 (quick and easy):
Fry the tofu in butter or ghee on the stove top as you would with chicken. Be sure to keep flipping to evenly brown all sides. You can season with salt and some of the sauce mix as your fry the tofu. Brown all sides
Directions:
Prepare your Fusion Butter Chicken sauce mix and add into pan, put it on low-medium heat for about 3 -5 minutes
Add in your tofu and bring the sauce to a boil and then take it off the heat and let sauce thicken.
Serve with rice or naan
