Fall Chili

Fall Chili

After Halloween it seems like the weather shifts to a new kind of cold. The kind of cold that needs a good heaty bowl of chili to warm you up. Chili is super easy to make and you can easily substitute different kinds of meat depending on what you like or have in the fridge. When we make chili we love to add in a couple of tablespoons of our Fusion Chicken Curry powder to add some more flavor!  Here is how we make our Fall Chili!

Ingredients:

2 Onions
2 lbs of ground meat (we used lean beef)2 Bell Peppers Diced
1 can of diced tomato’s
1 Can of Kidney or black beans
2 Tbsp of tomato paste
2.5 Cup of Broth
2-3 tbsp of Fusion Chicken Curry Powder
1 tbsp of garlic minced
1 tbsp of salt

How to make:

1- Add the olive oil to a large pot and place it over medium-high heat for two minutes. Add the onion. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. We want to sweat the onions.

2- Add the ground beef to the pot. Break it apart with a wooden spoon. Add in the curry powder, salt and garlic. Mix it well.

3- Cook for 6-7 minutes, until the beef is browned, stirring occasionally.

4- Add the broth, diced tomatoes (with their juice), drained beans, and tomato paste. Stir well.

4- Bring the liquid to a low boil. Then, reduce the heat (low to medium-low) to gently simmer the chili, uncovered, for 40-55 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5- Remove the pot from the heat. Let the chili rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
